Even before you open the doors of the Tahoe Maritime Museum you can feel history is waiting to be discovered inside. The first clue is the sign hanging outside the building along Highway 89 in Homewood. It simply states: Tahoe Maritime Museum and the words Living History. The next clue is the building itself -- so intriguing with unique windows and its old Tahoe boathouse design that you can almost guess an experience to remember is waiting to be discovered.

Thanks to Judge David Soukup, a very special juvenile court judge in Seattle in 1977, children around the country have been helped through some very difficult times. Judge Soukup founded the first CASA program in 1977 and the national CASA association now has a network of 1,055 program offices around the country. CASA programs have helped more than two million abused children since the first program in 1977.
