The Trail of Treats and Terror is celebrating 15 yearsDSC05923

The annual community Trick-or-Treat event, The Trail of Treats and Terror, has been held in Incline Village since October 2002. The event was created to provide a safe and appropriate alternative for young trick or treaters in Incline Village. The trail started at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center, traveled over to the IVGID Recreation Center and ended at the Sierra Nevada College. In 2007 the Lake Tahoe School location was added.

This year, the 12 non-profit organizations in the DWR Center will fill the Trepp Room with Halloween decorations, booths with games and activities and of course, hand out treats. All the other buildings will also be decorated in Halloween decor and each location features a different Halloween theme with different fright levels.

The event is from 4:00 – 7:00, parking is available in the Middle School’s parking lot and a free shuttle is provided to bring everyone back to the Middle School. Along the Trail, assistance and safety is provided by the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, the Washoe County Sheriff, C. E. R. T. and the Washoe County Constables.

Join us for this unique experience and help provide a safe way for local children to trick or treat in our community. We expect to see at least 1,000 ghosts, goblins and other Halloween creatures inside the DWR Center on Thursday, Oct. 26. Photos will be placed on our website after the event to share the fun costumes and adorable children.
